Cat Behavioral Consultations
Behavioral consultations are offered in-home and by phone. Behavioral consultations help people understand and remedy problems they may be experiencing with their kitty companions. All behavior modification techniques are humane and gentle and designed to resolve problems with the least amount of stress to both cats and people. Consultations are about 2 hours, and follow-up correspondence is provided.
Not all problems require a full behavioral consultation. If you would simply like to understand your cat's behaviors and to learn positive ways to resolve problems quickly, a phone consult can help.
A consultation can help with
- Fear, shyness, and anxiety
- Failure to use the litter box
- Marking and spraying
- Inter-kitty aggression
- Furniture scratching
- Aggression (scratching and biting)
- Introducing dogs, cats, or people into your cat's environment
As is true with dogs and other animal companions, a huge cause of cat relinquishment and abandonment is due to behavioral problems that people leave untreated and do not know how to fix. Your animal companions are depending on you to take care of them.
Identifying the causes of behavior problems and treating them early will make your cat and you much happier. Most behavior problems can be treated, improved, and resolved.
