Your home environment can affect your cat’s behavior. Alana Stevenson provides cat-friendly design consultations that specifically address how your home — its layout and your arrangement of furniture and cat resources — shape your cat’s well-being and can prevent or create behavioral problems.
Small strategic environmental changes can prevent and reduce inter-cat conflict, resolve litter box problems and problem urination, help acclimate cats to dogs and toddlers, prevent and reduce play-aggression and biting, including aggression to strangers, boost a cat’s confidence, increase affection, and help multiple animals coexist.

Virtual Cat-Friendly Home Design Consultations
Online cat-friendly home design consultations are available to you regardless of your location. Consultations are about 2 hours. Video clips of the home environment are requested for a more thorough assessment. Alana will look at your cat’s routine and behavior, get an understanding of your cat and your goals, and provide recommendations you can apply immediately. Cat parents can be accommodated in different time zones and recommendations can be translated, upon request.
We worked on re-designing the barn adjacent to our house for amazing cat space!
In the barn, Alana advised us on vertical surfaces, cat trees, litter box positioning, privacy areas and indoor enclosures which allow the cats to be happy and keep a comfortable distance from each other. In the house, we went over different rooms and furniture arrangements, as well as litter boxes and water placement to create the most comfortable cat areas.
