Dog Training
Alana Stevenson offers private, one-on-one dog training in-person and virtually via video platforms. Dog training lessons last 1.5-2 hours.
All training methods are humane. Alana does not use shock, pinch or “pronged” collars, choke chains, “alpha rolls,” or leash corrections when training dogs or to modify behavior.
Dog training lessons have been provided in the Boston area. One-on-one, private dog training will soon be offered in Knoxville, TN and surrounding communities, including Farragut, Bearden, West Hills, Cedar Bluff, Rocky Hill, Hardin Valley, Karns, Powell, Halls, Fountain City, Corryton, Oak Ridge, Maryville, Alcoa, and Lenoir City.
Dog Training
- Teach your dog to come when called
- Get your dog’s attention when distracted
- Reduce leash pulling
- Teach your dog to walk nicely on leash
- Train “Sit,” “Back Away,” or “Step Back”
- Teach your dog to “Lie Down,” “Wait,” “Settle,” and “Stay.”
- Prevent jumping on people and play-biting
- House-train or potty train your puppy or adult dog
- Stop jumping on counters or counter-surfing
- Eliminate destructive chewing
- Teach your dog to back away and wait at doorways

Dog Training Online via Video
Many dog training lessons can be taught over video platforms such as FaceTime, Google Meet, WhatsApp, and Zoom. Since some dog training lessons involve behavioral information, these lessons are mostly discussion, while others are hands-on and directive. You can train your dog live with Alana present, and she will guide you on techniques and timing.
